SIRRONDACH EBONY TAMARIND ("Tammy") - born 3-Nov-2000 - Pedigree>



TAMMY has been a delightful Showgirl for us, always 100% co-operative and invariably giving of her best on the move, although like most bitches she does have the occasional "off-day"! Only lightly shown as a puppy, she was never unplaced at Open or Championship Level and was awarded Best of Breed at the South West Hound Club Open Show in September 2001 at the tender age of 10 months, having won her Puppy Bitch class at Bournemouth Championship Show during the previous month. In January 2002, she was placed second in her Junior Bitch class at the Southern Dachshund Association's Championship Show, and followed this up at CRUFTS 2002 by winning her Special Junior Bitch class against nineteen other entries. Through the rest of 2002 we made the mistake of showing her only in Limit classes and her placings were disappointing to say the least, but she has come back into her own in 2003, having been placed second in Post-graduate Bitch at Paignton, Windsor, South Wales Kennel and Bournemouth Championship Shows.


SIRRONDACH CRYSTAL ALMOND ("Ali") - born 8-Apr-2000 - Pedigree>



Ali is the second string in our Showteam, and as a different type from Tammy seems to appeal more to "all-rounder" judges than she does to breed specialists. She is a very eye-catching chocolate dapple, a little higher on the leg than many of the competition but this gives her the driving flowing movement that we love to see from dachshunds. We take great pride in the movement of all of our Showdogs, and Ali's most of all. Like Tammy, Ali had considerable success as a puppy and received First Places at her first six Open Shows, followed by Thirds and Reserves at Championship Shows. She accompanied Tammy to Crufts 2002 but was unsuccessful there and had a miserable remainder of the year. She was withdrawn from Showing at the beginning of 2003 for maternal duties, see Puppies, but came back to it in August when she won a V.H.C. at Bournemouth Championship Show.


SIRRONDACH EBONY PISTACHIO ("Sasha") - Born 8-June-2003



One of Ali's two daughters (see Puppies), Sasha is now part of our 2004 Show Team and had started very well. She qualified for Crufts 2005 at her second attempt, the Dachshund Club of Wales Ch. Show in February 2004 when she was eight months old in a class for puppies up to twelve months.
Later in that month, she went Reserve Best Puppy in Show at the Ilfracombe and District Canine Society Open Show (all breeds) under a dachshund specialist judge. In May, she took Best of Breed and 2nd in Hound Puppy Group at the Devon County Agricultural Society Open Show; in June, she was Hound Puppy Group 4 at Taunton Open. We have high hopes for her, and for her litter sister Mia once she has had some time to mature.

SIRRONDACH EBONY MACADAMIA ("Mia") - born 8-June-2003

At last, we have a decent photo of Mia! She has started her show career very slowly as she is obviously going to be a "late developer". She is still a little puppy in body and mind, but time is on her side, we hope. Her best win to date has been Reserve Best Puppy in Breed at the April Open Show of the West of England Dachshund Assocation. Fingers crossed!
